What do you think of a 100 Watt Solar on my Dash?

Post by stevek »

And plugging it into my dash cigarette lighter?

I have notice the flexible 100 watt solar panels have gotten cheaper and smaller. Only about a 1/8 inch thick.
I have a Trick-L-Start already installed which ties my house Batteries to my engine Batt.

I would just lay the solar panel on my dash, no drilling, etc. Hooking it to a controller, etc.
Do you see any problems? thanks.

You would definitely lose some power. Here's a link to a thread:

You will need to park with the front of the coach facing south. Also make sure that there is power at the socket when the ignition is turned off.
