Can anyone help me identify what these brackets are for? Are they stock on the BornFree?

2006 Born Free RSB

I would say not from factory. Some previous owner installed. I tried to guess for what reason, but could not come up with any idea?
Anybody else have a guess?

I would also question whether they are screwed in the wooden studs or not. Finding the studs can be tricky.
I have found this works...go outside in the early morning (when there's dew on the exterior of your BF) and you should notice an outline of the studs.
