Did BF ever install the newer style DC compressor fridge in any of their models? What was the fridge model number?

If they had, I'd have expected to see one in the Reign. I searched a couple of them online and they seem to have a standard Norcold 7cf three-way fridge. I'd suspect that if they had the compressor models, it was probably only on special order.

Good idea, hadn’t thought to look at current stock. Was looking at other high end builds and haven’t located any yet. Might be an after market thing.

They are mostly danfoss custom builds or a samsung residential compressor based fridge. I will probable put an apartment fridge in when mine goes or look at a danforth that they put in boats.

My former RV was a pickup truck with slide-in camper. When I ordered the camper I specified a Dometic fridge that used the Danfoss compressor.

Advantages of the compressor fridge are:
1. Not having to worry about the fridge being level.
2. Cools down faster.
3. Uses no propane.

The main disadvantage is that it uses much more electricity than a fridge running on propane. If you are dry camping, this means running your generator more often to keep batteries charged. Installing a solar system is one way to minimize the need for generator use.

You have to be careful with the choice, looks like the Danfoss compressor has less draw then some of the others.

With AGM batteries and solar becoming more the norm, I would expect the compressor fridges to become more common.

What about a small household AC refrigerator? Ran off the inverter?
I imagine the draw on the batteries would be worse yet?
And would be OK if you spent every night in a RV park with full hookups.
