2016 Born Free Factory Homecoming Rally Recap

                                                                        August 23-26

Jeff Butler and the Born Free Team graciously hosted the 2016 Born Free Homecoming Rally at the Born Free Factory in Humboldt, Iowa. Eighty three (83) members and others attended in 47 coaches from 18 states. Owners enjoyed the opportunity to have minor repairs done on their coaches by expert factory personnel and some owners offered coach improvement ideas on the Customer Advisory Panel.

On Tuesday afternoon we were very warmly greeted by Jeff, Brandon, Ed, Scott, Kim and all the other great Born Free Team members at the welcome reception held in the show room. Everyone had the opportunity to sign up for some very engaging activities including the Born Free Olympic games.

Wednesday morning started with a delicious omelet breakfast served up by the ever friendly Born Free Team. This was followed by a very informative Q & A panel headed up by Jeff, Bill, John, Kyle and Brandon. The rest of the day was filled with great activities such as yoga instruction, factory tours, Born Free Olympics rounds #1 and #2, cake decorating seminar, golf, and line dancing. Dinner was a lip smacking pot luck with Born Free generously supplying the meat. Melinda’s School of Dance provided entertainment and the incredibly charming youngsters excelled in their dance routines. The evening ended with movie night and all the popcorn you could eat.

Everyone enjoyed a very tasty continental breakfast Thursday morning followed by a solar panel seminar, coach care maintenance seminar, lunch, customer advisory panel, card tournament, baseball bag toss, chair massages and bingo. After a delicious dinner, round #3 of the Born Free Olympics was held capped off with the awards ceremony. Entertainment was provided by the delightful and very talented Avery Country Show Time Band.

Friday morning we were greeted by a scrumptious pancake breakfast prepared by the local Lions Club and it was great to see them again. We then said our goodbyes and left for home, or to continue our individual journeys, in the comfort and safety of our Born Free motor coaches.

As always the highlights were interacting with all the wonderful Born Free Team members and reconnecting with each other. Everyone had a great time renewing friendships, relaxing and seeing some of the new 2017 models – it was a great place to be.
