Liberty Harbor RV Park, Jersey City / New York City

Post by David and Susan Bratt »

This place is basically an expensive parking lot - 90$ a night. But it is very close to New York City with easy access. There are electric and water hookups at each site with a dump available. The toilets, showers and laundry were clean. Good security on site. Each site is about 20" wide, all back in. With some having slides out it was pretty close to neighbors. There were a few picnic tables. The area is being built up with condos and apartments and the accompanying restaurants and shops. There is a very close by ferry to Manhattan - just across the parking lot - and a train about 5 blocks away. The campground fee and transportation costs still beat the expensive hotel charges in the city. You don't come here to sit around a fire. We felt very safe leaving our vehicle for hours at a time. I would not hesitate to stop here again.
