The ad says it is located in Happy Valley....the only Happy Valley I know of is Penn State. I'm wondering if the seller meant to put Reading PA. Unless there is another Happy Valley.

Its interesting from the photo how the Born Free coaches have evolved over time. The entire black portion of the cab-over appears to be a curved window. On my 97, they painted that area to give the illusion of a big window but the actual window is a smaller flat rectangular window on the front face. The shape changed as well. The leading edge of the cab-over is a distinct edge whereas mine is more rounded. The coach battery compartment is further aft and above the coach floor rather than adjacent to the generator. Looks like she's held up pretty well for a 27 year old coach. Be interesting to see more photos, inside and out. If it wasn't completely across the country, I'd be tempted to buy it and fix it up for friends or family to use to travel with us.

Interesting that there are 2 Happy Valley's semi close to 2 Redding/Reading's.

Rhyde, I think that compartment that you see aft of the generator compartment is the fridge panel. I have a 1989 26 RSB and that is what the panel looks like but for me it is on the other side by the door. My battery is in the engine compartment (both the house and engine battery). If you are serious about buying an inexpensive BF I'm selling mine for $4,750.....and I'm not on the other side of the country :D I'll start a thread on mine later this week. It is at the mechanic for inspection and a few other things. You can see what a 1989 interior looks like.

Matt,
Yes, I think your right about the refrigerator compartment. Looks like the upper fridge vent on the roof directly above.
Although your price is more than reasonable, it's more than I'd be willing to go on a second motorhome. Even the $2500 for the one in California would probably be disapproved by "Senior Management". She keeps my spur of the moment ideas in check. I'd probably be broke if left to my own devices.
