The board operator upgraded the version of the phpBB software, and apparently, in that process, may have failed to check all of the security options that were installed by default in the new version.
I believe that the board is set to prevent postings from non-members (board registered members, not necessarily their membership in the Leap'n Lions).
These are automated spam bombs, similar to a DDoS attack, and are the bane of all BBS operators.
The net admins will have a lot of work to do, to clean this up.
