Born Free Motorcoach Modifications

Post by whemme »

Contained herein is a review of some of the more desirable modifications that you might be interested in for your Born Free motorcoach. A) Replacing your present single stage Magnetek/Parallax 7345 charger/converter with a modern 3-stage charger/converter.

This modification would be of interest to Born Free owners who do a significant amount of dry camping, want to prevent over-charging of their coach batteries when connected to shore line power for extended periods of time (which causes the need to replace battery water frequently, and/or want to capability to rapidly recharge your coach batteries either from shore line power or by running the generator.

B) NEW STYLE BATTERY TRAY

Born Free started using a different style coach battery mounting tray around year 2005 models. This tray can be retrofitted to older model coaches if desired. This tray provides easier access to the fill caps on both batteries. C) Flexsteel Captain’s Chairs Seating Height Too Low?

If you find that getting into and out of your swivel chairs is difficult and uncomfortable because the seating height seems too low, then you might be interested in a simple modification that raises the seating height by 1.5â€
