Dc to dc charger installation

Post by Mr_Hankey »

I’m updating my 97 born free to lithium batteries. I currently have the surepower1602 battery isolator. I realize I cannot use this with the lithium batteries so I purchased a dc to dc charger. The question I have is the 1602 has 3 posts on it and I’m thinking all I would have to do to bypass it is to put all the cables on one post effectively using it as a sort of buss bar. Is my thinking off? Do I even need to bypass it?

I think connecting to one post would complete the circuit and make it connected all the time. I am doing a similar conversion and trying to locate the battery isolator so I can disconnect it? I have a 2009 24 RB. Thanks in advance, Mike

Where was your Battery Isolator located, can't seem to find mine was thinking about pulling fuse however the manual is not real specific on which fuse?
where did you pick up power for DC to DCcharger for the power on wire?
Thanks,

Mike
