Outside water lines to inside shower stall.

Post by petrie »

Hi everyone, my water line screw on fitting broke. Is now leaking. Does anyone know what size the screw on fitting is at the shower valve? Thanks 😊

I don't know what size pipe it is but you will need to get a new fitting for the plastic tubing which is called PEX. There are fittings called SharkBite which need no tools to attach the fitting to the tubing. You will need to cut the tubing. Take the broken fitting to a home store such as Home Depot and they will be able to tell you what you need. Hopefully there will be a little slack in the tubing so you will not need to extend the galvanized pipe nipple.

I have a question about how you accessed it. I second shark bite too.
