My experience is contrary to what Sam said, i.e., the 3-4 doors I have seen converted to a sliding door were all neat & professional in appearance. It is amazing the "skills" so many Born Free owners possess.

We purchased a sliding door kit from Menards for about $10 if I remember correctly. On our 24 RB we hung the door and covered up the slide mechanism with a piece of oak 1 x 3 on a couple of L braces. It slides over the closet door easily. It is the best improvement we made to the inside of the coach.

David and Susan,

I noticed you have a 24 RB. We have a 26' RB and I was curious as to where your exit door is located..

Thanks

Our entrance has the closet door and then the bathroom on the left as you go up the steps. The sliding door on the bathroom slides left over the closet door when it is opened.

Ok, it's a different set up. Our closet is to the immediate left of our bathroom as you face the back. After reading these posts we realized how much space the bathroom door does take and how inconvenient the door is. We can't get into our closet if the bathroom door is open. I wish we could do the slide. I think it looks really nice but we have realized there just isn't the space for it. Since we can't do the slider I think we have to figure something else out.
