Will take a tour today.
Any suggestions or words of wisdom?
Thanks

Plus we met Kim last night and a few other people.
Presently camping out at a nearby campground.

Will tell you all about it later.

Again thanks to everybody for helping a Newbie and first time RV'er.

We very much enjoy our trips out to Humboldt and everyone at Born Free is so helpful and friendly. Last March we returned to have some work done on our 2004 and found several interesting places in that area worth a visit.
The Grotto http://www.westbendgrotto.com/ This is the largest grotto in the world and quite beautiful, embedded with semi precious stones and rocks from all over the world. Also a campground there.
German POW Camp in Algona Iowa. This small museum is north of Humboldt and has a very eclectic collection of memorabilia. I was not aware there were German POW camps in USA, so I found this fascinating.
Finally there is a little family restaurant in Thor ( east of Humboldt) call Unkies Entertainer, which in spite of its name, turned out to be a great place for a reasonable steak dinner.
Kim is a great resource and he recommended a place in Humboldt for an alignment and also we use the Ford dealer in Ft Dodge for oil changes. They have an express lane that even can handle an RVs.
Enjoy the trip!

I wish we were there with you. We are planning on visiting the Born Free factory next year and seeing actual production.
One of the things we plan on having them do is install seat belts in our sofa bed.
We also have some questions on wiring that hopefully we can get explained.
Kim told me they have 2 tech people who do all of their warranty and follow-up work, but advised calling ahead to schedule an appointment if you do require some type of service.
Hope you enjoy your stay there and have a safe trip home.

Well, we did the tour. It was really really good.
Highly recommend it to everyone. Scott did our tour
Also Talked to Kim. Purchased some misc stuff. Good guy.
Made me a true believer and future customer of BF !!!

The way I understand it BF has purchased the property across the street and and will make it available for camping to BF customers in the future.

Also.... I think I got this right?, pricing for 2013 will different.
The base price will now include many of options,
that before you has to pay extra for.

Took some pics and can post later when we get home, if anybody is interested.

After the tour we went to the Grotto in West Bend, IA.
Thanks Jennifer telling us. Would have never known.
Really worth seeing for anybody else.

Charles.... saw your new BF. Just the cutaway chassis. Just starting to work on it. Took a couple of pics. They had a 23 foot on the showroom... really really nice!
Besides the fancy TV setup, the shades were electric up and down.
Plus a new bed setup.

Scott said hopfully the new brochures for 2013 would be available soon.
I will anxious to see and the NEW pricing setup.

Also they had a "slide" on the showroom.
