If you dig thru their website you will learn this: Jeff Butler, General Manager of Product Production at Chinook RV. Jeff is the past president of Born Free and he walked out of the company about a week before it was shut down by the investment group owners, leaving the Born Free employees in the da...

Re: Storage Compartment Door Latch Rust
I bought my replacement Southco compartment door latches back in late 2018 and I no longer have my credit card records to come up with the exact Southco P/N's for the two different latches used by Born free. However, they were the E3 series of compression compression latches. A spec sheet for those ...

Re: How do I post a "screen Shot" on the Born Free Forum?
Steve,
When you click on Choose File button, does it not transfer to a view of your desktop so you can see your saved photo and click on it to choose it. It should. At least it does on both my Apple iMac desktop computer and my Apple MacBook Air laptop.

Re: How do I post a "screen Shot" on the Born Free Forum?
When you take a screen shot on a Mac computer, it should automatically be saved on your desktop. The when you click on the Choose File button at the bottom of your post, just select that saved screen shot on your desktop in order to attach and show at as part of your post. Very easy to do using a Ma...

Leap'n Lions Club North West Region VP Position
I happened to notice a mistake in the March 2021 issue of our club's newsletter. The mistake is in the listing for the Born Free Leap'n Lions Club Officers. A screen shot of the mistake is attached below. The VP position that is vacant is for the VP North West Region, not the VP South Central Regio...

Re: Convert cab-over bed to entertainment center
However I have not joined the Leapin Lions club until now when I have a question. DoodleMom , I hope you get good answers to your question. However, I want to point out that just registering to post on this forum is not the same as joining our Born Free Leap'n Lions RV Club. Club membership only co...

Re: Disinfecting the hot water heater tank
I guess I have always taken the position that since the hot water tank generally contains water at a temperature of 140 degrees, that this temperature is high enough to keep the tank disinfected. Maybe I am wrong about this. As far as the rest of the water system, I rinse out all three tanks and the...

Re: Onan Generator
OK. If you can reach behind your generator, disconnect the hose from the output connection on the electric fuel pump. Then press on the generator’s STOP button which will activate the fuel pump into its primer mode. If the fuel pump is OK, there should be a stream fuel coming out of the fuel pump wh...

Re: Removing theft-proof covers from TPMS sensors
I have the Advantage PressurePro TPMS System installed on my 2002 26’ RSB coach for more than 10 years and never had anyone ever steal a sensor off of a wheel. I can’t replace the sensor batteries in my system. The batteries in each of my sensors last about 4 to 5 years and must be replaced with new...

Re: House battery boiling! Emergency
I was told the reason it boiled, was the plates had broken and fell against each other. Our master switch did not stop the boiling. I had to make a cardboard shield and disconnect the cable and it stopped boiling.
Shutting off the coach battery’s master switch has th...

Sorry but a Progressive Dynamics PD4655v can’t replace a Parallax 7445. The chassis details are totally different. The attached photo below shows a 7445.
