6 Volt Batteries
That photo is a photo of my batteries. You only see two batteries in the photo but there are four 6 volt gel. Because they are gel, do not have to ever check fluid levels. They were installed over 3 years ago. I have had no problems.

I also have solar panels. I have three 40watt panels.
I will be able to measure the battery compartment in a couple of days, right now my Born Free is being serviced.

GPS
I use the Garmin 2720 also. I move it between my Born Free and my jeep and took it to Denver and used it in a rental car. I thought I would be using the remote control a lot but do not because the touch screen is easy and fast to use. The map is very detail even with country dirt roads. We were also...

Adding extra Batteries
In my stock battery box I have put 4 6volt batteries. They will fit by taking off the door jamb and taking out the battery tray. After installing the batteries you reinstall the door jamb and move the knob out a little. I have replaced my battery charger so I can have 6 volt gel batteries with no ma...

Quartzsite GPS Coordinates
There is no guarantee that the location of the rally will be the same each year. The host does not know the location until they arrive and find a spot. The locations since the Quartzsite rally was first held have been close but the best way to find the rally is to follow the Born Free Signs. Follow ...

Jump Starting
To jump start the engine you only need to hook up one battery cable from your engine battery to your coach battery- positive to positive. The system is grounded to each other.

Water lines
I have gone skiing in my Born Free and to make sure the water lines behind the shower in my 24' rear bath do not freeze I run a small electric heater at night in the shower. I have also put some added insulation thru the rear access door. I have never had any line freeze. I put some antifreeze in my...

I did not know what model of Norcold refrigerator that I had so I went over to where I store my Born Free. I have Model #N641 in my 2002 Born Free 24'. I went thru the users guide to see if there was anything about altitude. There was nothing. As I stated in my previous post I have had no problems. ...

BF Diesel
I have a 2002 BF 24' Rear Bath with 7.3 Diesel. The most important maintenance on the Deisel are oil changes, air filter & fuel filter. Ford says to change the oil every 5000 miles. I do it at 5000 or sooner. I did find out that the manufacturer of the engine says you can go 7000 before changing...
