You can bypass the transfer switch, it is not needed because you have only one source of 110 VAC the step-down transformer. Have that source wired into the main breaker on your converter see if that fixes your problem. Good luck

The wheels that are used on the E350 and E450 motorhome chassis are the type designed for dual rear wheels. On the front of your motorhome are adapters that enable use of these type of dual rear wheels on the front, so all wheel positions can use the same wheel. The E350 van is not configured for du...

I had a similar problem with my coach when I first got it. I found that there was a bad splice in the wire bundle under the coach from the battery to the converter/charger. It was where the factory changed the wire size from the larger size on the battery to the size that is used on the converter/ch...

This is the instructions from the Initial DTV-DVD-232 LCD TV manual item No. 2 explains how to wire the video inputs to the TV. If your DIRECT TV receiver is a HD Unit you have to use the AV3 input for a satellite HD picture. You can use either the antenna input or the AV2 input from your Digital co...

 Thanks for the complements. A note for all of you who do not have a satellite system, you can replace the satellite receiver in the diagram with any video source such as a VCR, DVD player, or gaming console. As I noted before this diagram shows the typical coach with an analog TV. Most of the...

EZ TV????

A digital to analog converter box with analog pass through can be used to receive off air TV signals if it is wired and used correctly. I have attached two diagrams of the before and after wiring. In diagram one I show how most add on satellite systems are wired using the RF (coaxial) input and outp...

Found this picture of the slide in Born Free truck camper. They were produced in the early 70 's. They were unique in the type of fiberglass construction and the Tag axle to carry the additional load the overhung the truck bed. The first one I ever saw was at Lake Erie State Park in NY around 1975 i...

Did you get a receiver with your Born Free? If not then you need to see which of the two services (DirecTV or Dish Network) the coach dish is programed to find. A good place to check would be the Winegard manual or their web site. Each provider uses different satellites at different locations for th...

Checked my manual dated 8/95 it shows the the 24' RB indeed drains the lavatory sink into the black water tank. Just for information the 21' and 26' do not. I know that you know this is true, since you had the tank fill up on you, just verifying the fact for you. Mike

To help solve this problem you need to get a wiring diagram on how the system is setup. We know that there are 3 sources for signal; (1) antenna, (2) cable, (3) satellite. At most a typical TV has a pair of inputs RF (Coax Cable) and AV (RCA jacks) This shows why there is a problem 3 sources 2 input...

The red/white lens is for the backup lights, the red portion of the lens is a reflector required here in the states. My 1990 coach has the red only lens mounted in the outside position with the backup lens in the inside position. The reason for this is to help show the width of the motor home. I had...

DTV converter for use in RV

I found this web site that has the instructions on making the 12V power cord for this converter: http://www.ezdigitaltv.com/RVs_and_Converter_Boxes.html
It also covers the subject pretty well.
