Add me to the list of victims of rubber valve stem failure. Fortuneately, I had the Pressure Pro TPMS and it caught the leak on the rear inside dual before it ruined both tires. Like a previous poster, as soon as I got home I had metal stems installed on the rear duals. I feel I can eyeball the fron...

WiFi Sources

We're planning a trip to UT, NV and CA this July and my wife needs to have high speed internet for her PSU teaching duties. Can any of you recommend which motels/donut shops/restaurants/what ever have reliable free connections?

Thanks a million!

We purchased a used 98RB with the cabover window and it has caused no problems. However, we have never removed the shade because we sleep there and it is of no practical value we can determine. Were we to buy a new BF it would be without the window. Question: What does the ban/waiver refer to? Thank...

We sleep cross ways in the cab over of our 24 RB. I sleep toward the front and so nocturnal calls of nature (age 70) require tricky maneuvering to get safely down the ladder. I've often thought that a cab over with twin beds on either side and a center ladder would be the answer. Now that I've read ...

Hitch failure

I have a '98 24RB and have always been nervous about the way the hitch connects to the main frame of the coach. The left and right steel U channels are welded to the frame and there is what appears to be a safety bolt also through the two members. What makes me nervous is that the length of the over...

I installed a backup camera that I got from Northern Tool. It had plenty of extra cable which I routed down the ladder, along the left frame and up through the floor under the right seat. The camera is centered above the rear window. I use it primarily for positioning when hooking up a 36 foot glide...

I applied some Turtle Wax tar and bug remover as directed but it didn't work as well (fast) as the dryer sheets.

Thanks for the scaffold and brush suggestions.

I tried them dry, thus the poor result. When used with water they work pretty well, and the fabric stands up to punishment. I'll try some other products and report back if anything interesting is learned. Another bug related hassle is how to clean the areas above the windshield and on the front of t...

Dryer Sheets

It sounded too good to be true and was with Bounce brand sheets. Dozens of swipes did nothing.

What product did you use?

Maybe the bugs I picked up between Banff and PA are of a hardier variety?

Bob, Like you, I've been a life-long automotive do-it-yourselfer and have recently become a BF owner and had tire pressure problems. I installed the type of valve extenders that depress the core and, like Bill Ruh said, I had problems. It's hard to tell if you are losing air on the duals and so I ma...

Leaky Louvers

While sitting out a cloud burst along I-80 last summer I noticed a stream of water coming out under the refrigerator and spilling on the floor. I then realized how the woodwork close to the floor on our (new to us) 98 24RB got stained. The source of this nuisance was the outside lovered access door ...

Following the first posting on this matter I charged ahead and installed Zirk fittings on the lower joints. (I should add that the BF is a 1998 E-350 24RB.) It was rather simple as it turned out. First step is to drill a hole in the center of the bottom of the ball joint - it has a dimple to make it...

Front Ball Joints

There have been a couple threads in the last weeks concerning lubrication of front ball joints, but I didn't see enough info on how to install the Zerk fittings. While doing a brake job (turned rotors and new pads) I observed that (as noted) there are no grease fittings (Zirk) on the four joints. An...
