Trish, We went to Colorado last year, I think we were behind Greg & Linda, we have a Jeep Liberty Renegade and whatever tires were standard in 2005 and we had no problems at all. I believe the trail ratings are on a scale of 1 to 5, we did mostly 1 & 2 but went on a 3 because of weather (it ...

The idea of the mini vent over the wires/cabling is to fill it with sealant so water is NOT trapped inside and is protected from sun and wind when you are driving, remember the "wind" is blowing at the speed of the vehicle. It also makes for a neater more professional looking job.

I think you need to use something like MINI CLAM SHELL VENT These small vents are perfect for covering vent holes for battery boxes, water or fuel tanks, or for covering areas of small cables.
Here is a pic.

I use Firefox 2.04 and have NO trouble reading the article. Again use the
Ctrl key and + or - for sizing.

Ray, Here are a couple of options for satellite, they tend to be on the expensive side. I believe a couple of BF'ers have them and we met some people in Colorado last year that had one, maybe they will respond. Anyway here's a couple of URL's. http://www.motosat.com/ (thru Dish network) or http://ti...

I forgot to mention, rather than running a heavy cable forward to a switch you could mount a heavy duty relay, such as a starter relay (any auto parts store) but should be sealed from the weather, next to the battery isolator, this would cut down the expense of the heavier cable and switch. You woul...

If you are talking battery cable sizes, I think you should use at least a #2 gauge wire, on our coach a 2005 24RB we have a battery Isolator: http://www.emarineinc.com/products/alternators/isolators.html You could jump start by using an 18 inch cable between the two terminals, of course it would be ...

I've been thinking about better reception myself and would like to install an outside antenna like the following: http://www.netgate.com/product_info.php?cPath=23_33&products_id=391 I was thinking of installing it on the new Winegard batwing antenna I installed so when I crank it up it's about 5...

Ray, You are probably on a remote DSLAM for your DSL. You need to call your local telco and complain of speed slowdowns, they will need to add more T1's to the remote, usually on first turnup they only install two (T1"s at 1.5MB/sec each) they have the capability to go to 8, the older only 4. C...

OK, guess I'll throw in my 2 cents here. Where is the server for the BF forum located? Remember it all depends on congestion on the "net", time of day, routing of your data, etc. Now it can also depend on what OS (operating system) you have, no problems if you have Win2K or XP (not MAC's) ...

We have a 2005 24RB and had the HWH installed at the factory. I really like not having to worry about leveling the rig manually. I installed a Moto-Sat dish (see the Coach Modifications section) and the 625 DVR, make sure you purchase the dish that will pick up both satellites simultaneously. Now th...

Thanks for the info I had a problem finding the small owners manual, my wife had me check again and I found it. I had called the local Ford dealer here and they thought I had the E4OD but now that I know which code to look at I see I have the 4R100 transmission, what is interesting is Mercon fluid i...

Transmission Question: 2004 E450 V10 Triton E4OD

Does anyone know how many quarts of Mercon V this transmission holds? I plan on draining the torque converer also and this would include whatever the factory installed for a cooler. I would like to replace with a true synthetic like Redline High Temp ATF (MerconV substitute).
Thanks

I've had both types of leveling jacks, we now have the HWH on our 2005 24RB and I much prefer this over the electrics. One of the problems with electric jacks is the amount of current each jack uses, I found I had to only activate one at a time or it would blow my circuit breaker. I had these on a C...
