Re: Oil Viscosity
Thanks for the great comments. Changed the oil today, put in 5-30 synthetic. The engine sounded better on the short trip home. Feeling better already!! Seems unusual that all the truck servicing shops in Iowa put Mobil Delvac 1300 diesel oil in the gas engine. Will be traveling next week and should ...

Oil Viscosity
We acquired an 07 32ft President recently. Previous coach was an 02 26RSB, which we loved. Anyway, the current coach has an 8.1 Chev medium duty truck engine coupled to an Allison 5 spd. The 8.1 engine oil capacity is 10 qts. The previous owner ran 15-40 weight diesel oil in the coach. Believe so ca...

Re: Kodiak Registry thread
Am picking up new for me 07 Born Free 32 President rear twins, casual elegance sofa and dinette. Perfect for us. Bought and paid sight unseen. Today in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Sold 2002 BF 26RSB yesterday in St Louis. Amazing how it worked out, the Internet is great. Impossible otherwise. Our 2002 a spl...

Yep I know what Mor Ryde is. Let's put that aside, asking what improvements the Bilsteins will offer compared to OE shocks? Better ride on rough roads?

Re: Wheres the best place to mail order Blistein Shocks?
Here's a question on this subject. What improvement do you expect to get from Bilsteins? My 2002 26 RSB has Mor Ryde otherwise stock, 72k mi. Like to hear what you expect, thanks.

Re: Engine lost power and quit
Graduation trip interrupted but rv now repaired. Alternator failed and put out double or triple the volts which caused a breaker to fail. The breaker protected the entire electrical system so did its job, only a $10 part. With towing and repairs about $900 but hey, no one got hurt. And the repair sh...

Re: Cab over conversion
Mine was converted in 2011. But I removed the cabinetry before going to factory. Mattress was the biggest cost at $1600, ladder $400. Included moving flat screen tv to cabinet near entry. Took out entertainment center at home too. Gave it away, rather dated. Factory did great job. Keep the windows. ...

Engine lost power and quit
Any ideas as to cause of engine stopping. While driving at highway speeds, the instruments went to zero followed by the speedometer, then lights also failed, a few seconds later the engine lost power and stopped. This also happened three years ago, the mechanic thought the alternator was bad. He re...

Re: New Winegard antenna
Following all these posts since my 2002 Delta no longer extends or retracts. Have a 2002 26 RSB. Bought a Sensar IV from Amazon. But with the Wingman UHF attachment will not lay flat between a/c and fridge vent. See Tomzleapin mounted his Sensar IV sideways. But then he installed the King Jack head ...

Re: 2015 Born Free Factory Rally
The shuttle was probably one of the older Born Frees like the one that took us to the golf course for the tournament. If you weren't looking for it, you wouldn't notice it.

Re: 2015 Born Free Factory Rally
I didn't ride the shuttle as we were dry camping across from the show room. But there were several announcements made about shuttle to the off site campgrounds. Announcements were made in the show room.

Re: 2015 Born Free Factory Rally
Also electric sites at the factory are reserved and available for those with valid medical needs like a CPAP or other. For others, running the gen for about two hours a day keeps batteries up. A/c not required in early June.

Re: 2015 Born Free Factory Rally
A toad is not required at the factory rally. The factory provided a shuttle bus from the local campgrounds to the factory site. It operated thru out the day.

Re: Cracks in GelCoat of my 2011
Do the cracks go all the way thru the fiberglass or are they only superficial at this point? My 2002 has been outside in FL sun for years and no cracks [knock on wood]. A bead of clear sealant will prevent leaks, if the cracks worsen. One does not expect this in a 3 year old pristine coach. Maybe th...
