Two months, nine months, what's the difference? It's these so-called Golden years. But, it beats the alternative.
I want to thank you all for your prompt replies. My questions have been answered (thanks Bill), now it is decision time.

Wi-Fi Antenna

I know I didn't dream it, but I can not find it in the forum for the past two months. Someone posted that they had purchased a Hawkings dish antenna for Wi-Fi reception. I would like to hear more about this antenna. For example: Does it work in a camp ground with other rigs between you and the sourc...

Thanks for pointing out that I left out the details of my roof storage. On my previous 24' RB that I bought used, it had a roof mounted spare that had a light weight metal cover. When I purchased my current 26' RB, from the factory, I had them install the hold down bolts on the new rig's roof so all...

We too have a 26'RB and I carry my spare on the roof. I use small diameter piece of rope to haul it up and lower it to the ground. NOTE: If you do store it on the roof DO NOT just throw it off the roof when needing it. It is amazing how far it will bounce and roll when you do this.

My theory on why this works is: The propane (and other gases) has an odorant added to it so that we can smell it when there is a leak. This odorand is added in a liquid form. Over time a minute filrm builds up within the jet (and the jet is small to start with) and thus causes a higher pressure drop...

I wish I had known of your problem while we were with you a t Oakhurst. I have seen this same problem several times in RV refrigerators. I each case I was able to "cure" the problem as follows: Go outside and open the accesss door to the rear of the frig. Take a crescent wrench and remove ...

My recommendation would be NOT to carry an extra 2 gal propane tank. Instead buy a kit that allows you to tap into your existing propane system and utilize it to work your bar-b-que. I obviously can't remember the name of this unit (Ibought mine at Camping World). This kit comes with a "Tee&quo...

Two questions:
1. Where do you carry the two front wheels?
2. Where your verticle support appears to rest on the rear bumper, will this rub?

Got a reply from BornFree today. They recommend geasing the skid wheels. They feel the dirty environment will most likely adhear to the outside and the grease will protect the bearing surfaces.

So, add this to your "to do lists"

Skid Wheels

I just replaced a broken skid wheel and noticed for the first time that these wheels each have two grease fittings. It was obvious that the wheel had never been greased. Do any of you grease these wheels? My first thought is that I should grease it, but am reluctant to as it may hold the dust partic...

Thank you both, Sab and Bob for your posts on this subject. It looks like Sab's approach attacks the cause of the water being a problem, and Bob's approach is a method to solve the water entry. I think I will try the RTV bead first. It would seem that keeping the water out of the channal is better t...

We have a 2005 26' RB with 6.0 diesel power on a 2004 chassis. On a recent trip to Oregon (from southern Calif.) I decided to evaluate speed vs. milage. On the first leg from Camarillo Ca. to Santa Rosa Ca. and not exceeding 55 mph I got 15.52 MPG. The next leg Santa Rosa to Pendleton Or. ( taking H...

We have the 26'RB (having moved up from the 24RB after seeing it at the factory). Ours has the diesel and when we tow (which is rarely) it is usually in hilly terrain and we tow a jeep wrangler. I would estimate that we loose about one mile per gallon under those conditions.
