Re: Used Bumper / Part

A year ago I backed into my retaining wall and smashed the roadside end of the bumper. A marine repair shop quoted $2100 to repair and paint. A laborer at that facility caught me outside of this place and said he could do it at his home for $1200. I then went to an auto paint and repair who quoted $...

Re: When it rains it pours

From your description, I think I would check those lights mounted high up on the center of the rear cap. Those wires penetrate the cap there and could be a source of your water entry.

Re: Mindless thoughts on a Newell 43' bus and my Born Free 3

This may be a little late to get into this thread, but do you have any pictures of "Victorian French Whorehouses"? Never having been in one I am at a loss on visualizing the layout.

Re: Just curious... what you paying for Gas?

There are lots of reasons for retiring in California, but cheap gas (or diesel) is not one of them. Paid $2.29 for unleaded gas at Costco

Re: Bumper Storage Repair

John; I had a 2003 24'RB and lost the bin, containing my electrical hook-up cord, while driving through Guatemala. I got a shop in Brazil to fabricate a new bin with galvanized metal with a flange. It was still in place when I traded in on a new 2005 26'RB in Humboldt. With the new rig I caught that...

Re: Air suspension question for "heavy" loaded coach

I removed and disposed of the leaking gadgets. Had the leaf springs re-arced, an additional leaf installed and have enjoyed the ride ever since. No more fussing with leaking bags and an added plus: It raised the rear of the coach about 4 inches and greatly reduced tail drag coming out of gas station...

Re: Steering/Handling

Steve; Could you elaborate on what Henderson's did to your coach that improved it? Knowing what you know now, would add the Safety Steer? I am asking these questions as we are planning a trip from here (Southern California) to the NW. We plan to take our time and spend time in areas we have just dri...

Re: Flooring

We recently took out our carpeting and found the metal plates referred to in the original post (above). As these plates are out of view and hidden by our flexsteel chairs we elected to just vinyl around them. You have to hunt to find them.

Re: Researching Old Posts

Thanks guys, I say guys although only one response is shown above. The fact is Mel took the trouble to call me at home and we both got on the computer and he talked me through the process.
Isn't this the best group of people to have for back up when you have a problem?

Researching Old Posts

Within the past two weeks I have read some interesting posts on "Rear view Cameras" and their installation. I just tried scrolling back through the General and Technical forum and could not locate anything on this subject. Is the there a way to type in what you are looking for and hit go a...

Re: Switch on Drivers and Passenger seats

Thank you to Bill Hemme and Sam Ryan for their suggestions. I contacted the Flexsteel outlet in our area and Planning a rip to their shop to see samples and get quotes. But first the Co-pilot has to finalize the vinyl floor option.

Re: Switch on Drivers and Passenger seats

While on the subject of Flexsteel seats, has anyone had any experience with reupholstering of any of these seats? We are considering re-doing the interior of our 2004 26RB and the seats are on the list. Mama would like to change from the dark brown fabric to Ultra Leather. I have not been involved i...

Reupholstering

Mama says our 2004 26'RB would look a lot nicer if we re-did the interior. By this she means: Tear out the carpet, and vinyl, put in new vinyl (no carpet) and reupholster the 4 flexsteel chairs and the adjustable single bed and bolsters. She is thinking Ultra leather for the reupholstering. Have any...

Regarding the "extension" of battery cables. I did not make it clear, that I was hoping that I could "extend" the big battery cables 6" to one foot +/-. I was wondering if I could fasten an extension on to the existing cables and if so how? There has to be a better way than ...
