We cannot attend the Quartzite Rally, but saw a "tour" of the area on a Travel Channel show a couple of months ago. In that episode, the host "treated" viewers to a tour of the bookstore and an introduction to the bookstore owner. Must be a scary sight for the unexpecting first t...

Tire Selection

Two years ago, we replaced the Firestones on our 2001 24RB with Michelin XPS/Rib tires. After doing our research, we decided that we wanted the steel sidewalls along with the steel belted feature. The Michelins were purchased and installed at a local Costco. Since the BF tire size is not a stock ite...

Could the differences in weights between the two models be because of the locations of the holding tanks? In the rear bath models, both the toilet and lavatory empty into the black tank, and the shower and galley sinks empty into the gray tank. In the rear side bed models, the shower and toilet empt...

New BR owner with questions

MB & Tony, Are you the couple who visited our 2001 24RB at the Idaho LOW "open house" afternoon? We remember a couple mentioning that they were excited to see a Born Free at LOW, because they were waiting for delivery of their new 26RB. We also have the same problem with the wall side ...

Born Free has told us that the roll bars in the coaches make it very difficult to engineer slide outs. Apparently, slide outs probably would necessitate the elimination of at least one roll bar and that would compromise Born Free's safety features. We believe that there is an additional valid concer...

Had a short discussion about the 32ft. model with Jerry E. at Born Free today. He said that it's currently "touring" around the eastern states, including the Branson rally, and will end up at Tampa. The purpose of the tour is to get reaction and suggestions from Born Free owners about what...

Thanks, Mel. Unfortunately, we cannot attend or drop in at the Branson Rally. So, we'll try to get more info about the new 32ft. from Jerry.

Even if it's $135K, that's a LOT LESS expensive than a Country Coach . . . which is the only Class A with the quality/safety ratings of a Born Free. We've been considering upgrading to a CC in the future for fulltime purposes. Trish, did we understand you correctly that this model will be at the Bra...
