Permanent Addresses/Mailing services

Hi. I'm will be doing some extensive travel now into the near future. I know of mailbox services that offer a necessary actual 'physical' address for purposes of tax returns, passport, banking, etc. Texas would be the best 'home base' for me. I've seen several companies that do this. Any insights? T...

Ford Dealership in Buda - South of Austin

There will do work on the ford 3 series hence Born Frees as well. I saw some 18wheelers as well in their mechanical garage. Obviously, they don't do cab/ interior work but for chassis/engine/drive train issues, I would recommend checking them out

That was my thought as well, although not as eloquently stated as your response.

Re: Wiring insulation burnt! etc Help

I think it was the portable radiator when i was on shore. The plug was hot to the touch and I suspect it was pulling in too much current OR I did use the inverter when the RV was off shore power to convert 12V DC to 144 watts of AC. 120V @ 1.2 AMPS. That doesn't seem like very much however. OR It co...

Re: Wiring insulation burnt! etc Help

Thanks for the reply. I think I know what caused this. I won't make that mistake again. Everything appears to be tight. I left the RV plugged into shore but I only have the frig running on AC. No other power draw other than an occasional light i might turn on. Everything is cool to the touch now. Wo...

Wiring insulation burnt! etc Help

Not sure what happened here. I was using the RV mostly off the grid, boon-docking in the driveway as a life boat in case the power when out in the house, which it did. It was probably plugged in for a day, during which i ran the furnace and the overhead heater...but never at the same time. I did hav...

rebuilts can be tricky to insure. It depends on many factors but this unit is certainly worthy of a look and investigation.

Re: Generator questions

I hear you.

It is a bit absurd to know that we put robots on another planet that can send photos back to us on earth and communicate with people on the other side of this planet via our watches but we make generators that need more maintenance than a trophy wife.

Re: Generator questions

I let my genny go dormant a while back. After exercising it and doing all the specified procedures and getting it maintained it still gave me problems with <200 hours on it. I've never quite understood how my lawn mover can sit the garage all winter and start up on the first pull come spring time wi...

It's a westinghouse breaker. I'll see what they have at HD.

Thanks for all the advice.
