Re: What you think of me putting heavy Generator on rear hit

Do you really have electrical load to justify 3000 watts generator, unless you insist for on microwave cooked dinner? A small unit would charge your battery for noiseless sleep and will be able to make morning coffee. The electrical start is very attractive, but I bet smaller generators could have o...

Need advice: Sell now or in the Spring?

Fellow BF-fans, Medical issues are forcing us to sell our baby. We missed the summer (same issues) and I wonder if I can pick your brains on what's better: try to sell it now or wait for the spring? Also, how much should I rely on the Blue Book when pricing it? Mine is 2005 26'RSB in "like new&...

Re: Is my 30 amp service plug damaged?

After sanding/polishing use some dielectric grease before plugging in. It helps the connection.

Re: Winter travel and build info needed

For some times now, I've been thinking to circulate hot water from the HW tank throughout the entire piping system to prevent freezing. It just takes a circulating pump (on and off periodically), opening all faucets and capping the outflow. In addition, filling the thanks with highway type salt will...

Re: Campgrounds in Las Vegas and Salt Lake City

Circus Circus is indeed a parking lot.

Very recently I visited Oasis to make a reservation for the next December and I liked it very much.

The good news is that they have regular shuttle bus ($12 round trip) to all major hotels and casinos.

Security at the gate as well. WiFi not so good.

Re: Pressurizing motorhome to locate water leaks

Brilliant idea!

What would be a suitable pressure to detect leaks?

Re: Weird Loss of Shoreline Power

Bill, it is possible that voltage leak (moisture, water) kept the transfer switch connected to the generator. Or you would never know the strange circuits of the ground currents. In addition, nowadays in accordance with some recent press reports, extraterrestrials keep us magnetized, or are you sure...

Most likely Squire D. If you bring the old one to Home Depot, it would be very easy to select one.

Re: AC trips the main breaker after about an hour

After checking the voltage and the amps, it would be a good idea to replace the breaker. The breakers, after years of service, get little corroded (contacts and terminal points) and start overheating.

Re: hot water heater operation

I have a propane/electric water heater. Since the heater is 1500 watts, some power sharing chores are required (example AC On, Microwave ON etc), not to exceed the current carrying capacity (30 amps) of the Shore Power Circuit. So, I made some modifications to reduce the chores: I installed 15 amps ...

Re: Daytime running lights (DRL)

Dallas, Cars, and trucks, are becoming ever more complicated and sophisticated. Even on a 2000 that was underway. As a retarded mechanical engineer I would today make no change to vehicle electrical system nor would I trust a self confessed expert. Sorry but that's me and you did ask. How 'bout a h...
