Re: Onan 4KY generator choke

Thanks Chuck Meadows. A lot of info to look into. I haven't used the generator much since purchase, but have listed it in the for sale area in this bulletin board and want to fix this starting issue. We are trying to sell it. If you know someone who might be interested please spread the word. I just...

Onan 4KY generator choke

Has anyone ever removed the choke and its rod attachment to the carburetor of the 4KY onan generator? I need to fix a sticking after shutdown of the choke (probably of the thermostatic element?) I am leery of the difficulty of reaching it to remove it and need help on how to access it. I am quite kn...

Thanks for responses.
I have the manual and have searched Youtube.
I use the generator so seldom and it is not that big a problem. Just bugs me.

sticking choke 2015 triumph

I have the standard generator option 2015 triumph. The choke sticks in the open position. I need to manually flick it closed to start it from a cold start. I have details on how to fix it but getting to it is almost impossible for me. I do have experience in repairing things that need it but can't f...

Slideout Emergency repair

I have a 2015 Triumph w/slide and have had minor panics. Factory no longer available and no manual was included for the slideout. What to do if on the road and can't retract slide while camped. I searched and did not find this site on this forum so will mention it for those not known of it.
This site has been around for at least 15 years and is still pretty active.

Re: on demand hot water heater

I agree with funpilot. There is a short learning curve, the on demand hot water heater is a lot different in operation, but the bottom line is my wife likes it just as much as me.

Re: Engine scan computer

I had the Scan Gage on my 2003 and liked it until it stopped working. I now use Ultra Gage in my 2015 Born Free. It does similar to Scan Gage but has more features and it is cheaper. Mainly I use it for gallons used, mpg, power level and water temperature. The 2015 Ford E450 displays distance to emp...

2014 converter

We are in the process of buying a new 2014 Born Free unseen at this time. Haven't got a definitive answer from the factory. Does Born Free now install a 3-stage converter similar to PD9245 converter as standard equipment? If so, what brand and model?
