Re: Foggy Windows

Not sure when Born Free switched to a flush mount window but they are easy to identify. The window glass covers the entire opening for the window and sticks out about 1/4 inch from the body. The lower portion of the window opens with a top mounted hinge and swings out. The hinge can let about 1/3rd ...

Re: Mackinac Island, MI Visit

Hi Dallas, I will certainly try reading A Cold Day in Paradise and thanks for the tip. The next time you are in the UP be sure to try some Trenary Toast. We became hooked on it and Sandy has tried to duplicate the recipe with some success. Also since you like mysteries that give a great description ...

Re: Fogged up windows

I do not have any experience with removing the inner glass pane on the dual pane windows. All the Hehr windows on my 2015 Splendor became fogged. I had them all removed, cleaned and resealed last February. The job was done by Auto Glass Boss who operates mobile in Arizona, California, Florida and In...

Re: Locked out of 2014 with keypad entry

I am pretty sure the door on your 2014 is the same as on my 2015 and they are made made by Challenger Door in Nappanee IN. The phone number is 574-773-0470. They have been very helpful when I have had problems with the keypad (HDC part number HD008-HW) and the Trimark entrance door hardware (multipl...

Re: floor lamp

If you are close to an IKEA store try them. They have several excellent choices for floor lamps. I recently purchased this one https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/nymane-floor-reading-lamp-white-60336783/ to use in my home it has a dimmer so that the light can be adjusted to your needs. It only works on 11...

Tips for Safe Driving on Interstates

A few weeks ago There was an article on the website RVTravel.com about how to drive an RV on Interstates. As a former instructor for the AARP Smart Driver course I read a lot of the things I used to teach. It reminded me that we all need a reminder now and then to keep our skills sharp. This article...

Re: Heated Tanks and Dump Valves

If I recall correctly the heated tank option was an electric heating pad that was attached to the bottom of the tanks. So if you look underneath the coach at the bottom of the tanks there should be a pad glued on to the bottom, probably with some wires going to it.

If you are an FMCA member they have a great discount on Michelin Tires. They also have discounts on Hankook and Continental tires. I used the Michelin Discount program and saved a substantial amount of money.

Re: Use floor wax on tires

The only caution I have ever read about tire shine products is not to use any that are petroleum based. Evidently that can prematurely age the rubber. I must say that the tire looks great and the shine on your coach is excellent for a 19 year old vehicle.
