Starlink
Has anyone put Starlink on their coach. I just took it off my roof as we finally got fiber to the house. We have not had any internet but cell or Starlink since 2005 until this year. We moved our Starlink to mobile and set it on the ground and I put a pole up on the ladder too but I am under the tre...

Re: Born Free Motorhome
Yes they are well built motorhomes with interior rollbars for safety. In the age you are looking condition and maintenance mean more than book value.

I don’t know where you are but Xtreme graphic in nacogdoches Texas can fix anything and can rebuild a part from scratch since you have the other side still

Rough roads and the AC vents
Well the road was so rough it jarred the AC vent out of the ceiling in the front round one. I realized that it would not stay any longer so I went and got a small piece of hook and loop and put it back in with that and it is holding. Just a FYI if it happens to you.

Taking the arms off the flexsteel dining chairs
Well, we have the adjustable arms with the lever to lock the arm in place. It has made turning the chairs hard with the table out. Also it kind of extends towards the entryway. So I tried to remove them. Our old born free we pushed in at the 10 o’clock position but no go. This one you have you push ...

Re: Interested in feedback on a F550 chassis
I love the F550. It it gets about 11 or so MPG depending if I am towing or not. If I pull the jeep I am at 9 if I am without it and on the flatlands I get 12. I can go further in some ways and not in others. The ways that I can go further is that it is easy to drive and it also gets better milage. T...

Re: Interested in feedback on a F550 chassis
I love my royal splendor it is 29.5 feet or the 27 foot version with no slide. I like the none slide model as we are always home. It has plenty of power to tow my jeep. It drives like a dream I have owned 6 rvs including big diesel pushers as well as three BF. The slide gives you more floor space bu...

Re: Diesel Batteries/Electrical
I will say it this way that the alternator is a maintainer of charge not a charging system. I know in my big class A after boon docking at night I would start my generator and let it charge the battery bank as the alternator could not charge that much without burning up. Now, when I ordered my coach...

Re: Back up camera
I had to replace mine on my 2015 Royal splendor and I just pulled the wire up thru the hole in the roof til I got to the connection. It was pretty easy then I pushed it back in and sealed it with silicone. I do not remember my camera but it was a generic one that fit

Re: Any videos for winterizing a 2016 Born Free "Freedom" model??
You can do it and it will rinse out after a tank of water runs thru. You do not need to fill the tank on my 2015 royal splendor as I have a winterizing valve that lets me use the pump to push he water. Pull the rod ont he water heater or it will take 6 or 10 gallons so you can cut that off that way.

Re: Interstate/Road Weigh stations... how do you know if you should pull in?
RV are exempt from weigh stations even the big Prevost busses. There was a state that wanted to weigh them but the rv industry fought it and said people would not travel thru their state then. The reason Tag axels became so popular is that why busses and RV have a higher Rear axle rating up to 23k p...
