Installing Winegard antenna

I am going to replace the delta antenna on my coach with the wineguard - I was going to try to get the unit up to Iowa in December but then thought about having Pete in Clermont, FL do the work (he does work on BF units). He has done several of the antennas, but cautioned me that there may be a ratt...

Sorry to hear of your problem Dallas. This is also a time to mention to the club to consider using a surge protector when plugging into shore line. One of the protectors that also shuts off power if the in line power is too low, improperly grounded, or causes overheating of wiring and appliances. Un...

As long as tires show no wear, I do not ever rotate the rear tires, and don't switch the front too often. It has to be aligned for this to work. After several units, experience and much advice (often to the contrary) what works for me is if the tires are wearing evenly and the unit is aligned - I do...

Hi Bill,
I appreciate your effort and patience in helping me. This is a positive thing about the BF club.

My light is not a florescent, just a bulb.

Melting Lense?

I'm having trouble the last few months keeping the lense in the lights in the bathroom. Apparently the bulb gets so hot it softens the lense to the point it doesn't maintain enough tension to stay in the light fixture. As far as I know I haven't changed the type bulbs. I called BF, but no help. They...

I almost always have my CB on at some level. I monitor channel 19 when I'm on the road by myself.

I agree, I always try to raise a BF when I see one on the road and have never been able to get a response.

Would you keep your satellite for TV?

While camping with some friends last month I noticed that even though we were in an isolated area with poor TV reception, they were not using their satellite. They just felt it was too much of a hassle to set up, find a satellite, etc. I was going to get one, now I'm not sure. What is the experience...

I just use the Motorcraft oil 5w-20, synthetic blend, the Motorcraft oil filter and I change about every 2500 miles.

Would I be helping the engine life in any measurable fashion if I switched to the 5w-30 synthetic blend? I have about 50M on a 99' V-10?

<<<September?? Try May and June!! That's the real test.>>> You're right, those are the worst months. People who have never had to deal with the lovebugs wouldn't believe it. The bad thing is - left on for a few days the body acid will remove paint. I work at getting them off at the end of each day a...

As to a warning for the antenna being up. I have an orange warning sign that says "antenna is up" (got it at camping world). It has a clip on it and I fasten it to the sun shade on the driver's side before putting the antenna up. When you set in the driver's seat it is between your eyes! I...

I have the most basic Uniden radio, with a Francis antenna mounted on the rear ladder (no holes drilled) - works great.
