Accalades to Born Free Staff

Earlier I had a problem I e mailed the club about. I mentioned in the e mail that I had called BF and they didn't have an answer. Sometime after that mail, I got a call from BF customer service (Kim I believe) and he had taken the time to research the problem and had an answer for me. Very thoughtfu...

I do a lot of boondocking and use 2 six-volt Trojan batteries (love em!). So far I haven't needed to increase capacity, but if I did I thought I would install a solar panel for recharging rather then additional batteries. Just to help me in my decision process, you obviously prefer the greater numbe...

For me hooking up the fitting on the outlet and being where I can get a water hose hook up to power the unit and getting out the water hose just seemed to be more time consuming then hooking up the slinky hose. However I don't use the wand to clean the tank each time. If I did the time might be more...

I have the sewer solution product you are considering. From my standpoint I find it is more trouble then it's worth if the dump station is close to where I'm parked. The one place it is really handy is you can utilize a dump location that is not close to your unit. It will move the effluent for many...

Bob I can address the I-75 portion. I live in Tampa, FL and make the trip to Atlanta about once every 6 weeks. I-75 is a pretty good hwy. Several Flying Js and the GA rest areas have dump stations. Traffic on I-75 in Florida is pretty heavy especially at night - heavy big truck traffic. I-475 bypass...

Hi Judy, Good luck on your decision; I hope the new 32' ends up in your drive-way. In about 16 years of regular RVing I have never towed. But.. I tend to move a lot, very seldom am I too long in one place and my rig is only 23', which is pretty maneuverable. It has worked for me for many years. Howe...

Help with WiFi Antenna

I would like to be able to expand the ability of my laptop to pick up distant and weaker signals when using wifi. At radio shack they recommended a more powerful "card" to insert into my laptop. While reading on the net, a common recommendation is the "cantenna" type of antenna. ...

To charge from the coach you don't need to ground?

That's good to know, I've always run a cable to the ground terminals too.

I don't know why BF doesnt have a switch for this situation.

I am an advocate of the 6 volt golf cart style batteries. You will need two of them and they will need to be wired in a series.

The brand I use is Trojan. They are made to withstand heavy use. I've been very pleased with them.

It would be good if the wiring and TV booster was a heavier weight to allow more versatile use of the coach DC plug. The cab accessory plug is 25 amps, I think the rating (at least on mine) on the coach DC plug is 7 or 8 amps. If this were heavier an AC TV could be run off of an inverter just plugge...

1. I try to follow the Ford recommendations for all service (right or wrong I change oil/filter 2,500 - 3,000 miles). 2. I drink out of the water tank so I periodically test and sterilize the tank (2-3 times a year). 3. I run the generator every two - three weeks for a couple of hours under a load a...
