Topic: Retiring to a cab over bed?

I often use the cab over bed. It is minimally inconvenient with the ladder for one, if two it is much more of a challenge if the one sleeping next to the front of the cab needs to get up during the night.

Cold weather - I know heat rises, but the overhead is much colder in really cold weather.

I have a set of cables that are long enough and over the years have used them for starting the engine from the coach batteries many times. Works great.

Ann I had a similar problem with my 1999 when I bought it. The dead bolt was very hard to activate, the screen didn't close properly and usually the door had to be shut several times to close and lock securely. I used RV Chassis Masters (a shop in Clermont, FL that does warranty work on BF). The own...

Stuck Accelerator

I've never seen this before and would appreciate any help. My BF is a 1999 450. I haven't had it out since October and about once a month start it up to run for a few minutes, run air conditioner, etc. Today I warmed it up and before I shut it off started to rev the engine and the accelerator became...

I want to thank the administrators for their work with our site. I think our club site is great. Also when there has been a problem these people have been very responsive. To me the bandit poster problem is not that big a deal, and I would hate to see the site use by members and legitimate members t...

I think you will hear a variety of opinions on this question.

From my personal experience and for temperatures that are most comfortable to me - outside temps that are freezing and below the heat strip doesn't keep me comfortable when used with the furnace. The portable heater does work for me.

I would: 1. Do tile through out and skip the carpet. 2. Get a CB antenna installed. 3. Get an inverter hard wired. 4. Get the wiring configured so a switch can be turned so the radio can be played off of the coach batteries. 5. Get the wiring configured so a switch can be turned on to start the engi...

I see where several are members of Escapees - what is the draw?

Are there other clubs or groups you personally recommend?

Oh and by the way Bill, thanks for the member stats!

I think it will catch on, I will stick to the white for awhile myself.

What happened to the "humpback" on the 32'? does it have a basement underneath and this has raised the height of the body?

Well, there are a few of us. I don't know if we will ever meet, but it is nice to know there are others.

I'll probably stop going to many of the events. It might be fun to try some of the other clubs some of you mentioned.

Single Travelers?

I'm just curious, and maybe I'm the only one that would be curious. I try to go to the Born Free events or club events that are practical (I live in Florida). I would be hard pressed to say how many events that might be, but it is a bunch. I can only remember one time I've not been the only single t...

On replacing the plastic pieces that hold open hatch doors - I just replace them at CW. I take my old one to match color and especially screw holes. I've had all the replacements hold fine. Sorry I don't what the walls contain, I had assumed plywood. I don't drill new holes in the unit, I mounted th...

<<<There are a couple of questions I'd like to ask you: 1) Do you get good reception with the antenna attached to the ladder? 2)Does your antenna stick up above the roof at all or is it below the roofline? 3)What kind of antenna do you use. is it the kind that doesn't require a ground plane or is th...

the suggestions on the antennas are very good.

Personnally I had a real problem drilling a hole in that beautiful coach. I mounted the antenna on the rear ladder, ran the cable down the ladder up under the coach to the driver's side opening for wires.

Works great, no punching holes.
