Dates: | June 3-7, 2024 | |
Location: | Wallace RV Park 108 Nine Mile Rd Wallace, ID 83873 |
Wallace is a picturesque mining town turned tourist attraction. The movie Dante's Peak was filmed here. Wallace is the only town in the US where the entire town is on the National Historic Registry of Places. The 1930 Historic Downtown has original buildings (shops, antiques, curiosites). There are historic homes and churches. There is a walking tour of historic homes. Historic stairways connect the downtown and the houses on the hillside to the Pulaski Trail, a 2-mile hike to the mine site that saved 25 men during the 1910 fires. Check-out the Wallace Chamber of Commerce for more information and a summer event schedule.
The RV Park has full hookups and we are hoping to reserve the 20 sites along the creek. There are many great things to see and do within walking distance of the RV Park:
Other things to do in town include the Oasis Bordello Museum, the Wallace Mining Museum, the North Pacific Railroad Depot, the Center of the Universe Manhole, Eagle City Park, North Idaho Trading Company, Sixth Street Melodrama Theatre, and the Sierra Silver Mine Tour.
