Don't miss out on this incredible chance to enjoy yourself, reconnect with old friends, forge new friendships, and deepen your understanding of your Born Free motorcoach at this unique Club Rendezvous. This event is set to take place at the historic Crystal Fountain Park, proudly managed by Kuhn Truck and RV in Sherwood, OH. Sherwood, established in 1891, is now a quaint village with approximately 800 residents. It holds a significant place in American history, notably for its role in the Civil War as a stop on the Underground Railroad and its endurance through the Great Flood of 1913.
Nestled in the heart of Sherwood, Ohio, Crystal Fountain Park holds the esteemed title of being Ohio's first spiritualist camp. Spanning across 23 acres of serene landscape, this park is not just a retreat for those seeking spiritual connection, but also a beacon of historical significance for the small-town of Sherwood. The Kuhn Brothers, Luke and Levi, purchased the park from the Village in 2021 with the goal of restoring it to its former glory. At the heart of Crystal Fountain Park is its namesake, a historic fountain once known for its remarkable capacity to flow over 100,000 gallons of water each day. But it's not just the quantity of water that made this fountain famous; it's the quality. The water here was imbued with 14 different healing minerals, turning it into a sought-after resource for people far and wide.
Visitors in the past flocked to the park, eager to drink and bathe in its waters, believed to have therapeutic properties, and to use the hall, built in 1910, which was hailed as "one of the most spacious and beautiful spiritualist auditoriums in the United States." The water was bottled in 2oz bottles and shipped around the country by rail via the Baltimore & Ohio, and Cincinnati Northern railroads that ran adjacent to the park. The hall had "the best dancing floor around," and was the first roller skating rink in the county.
Our hosts, Kuhn Truck and RV, have become a leader in the industry, dedicating the past many years to the refurbishing, repairing, selling, and servicing of pre-owned Born Free motorcoaches, amassing extensive expertise in these vehicles. The event's itinerary includes meals, entertaining games, insightful opportunities for Q&A, a coach open house, and a charity benefit auction. If notified in advance, you might also have the chance to get your coach inspected or serviced (at your own expense) during the rendezvous (refer to the event details for contact information).
This Rendezvous is designed to be both affordable and enriching, offering dry camping facilities (please arrive with empty wastewater tanks and a full freshwater tank). Born Free motorcoaches are perfectly equipped for dry camping throughout this four-day event. Additionally, for those seeking different accommodations, there are several nearby campgrounds offering various utilities (at your own expense), details of which can be found in the Additional Information section.
Make sure to book your spot for this Rendezvous as early as possible as it's anticipated to be a highly sought-after event.
Please Note: Rally attendance will be limited to 50 coaches.
