Dates: | September 15-18, 2004 |
Hosts: | Howard and Barb Norlin |
Forty-eight coaches and ninety-four folks from twenty-two states, including Alaska, joined together on September 15-18, 2004 to enjoy the Michigan sights, Michigan food, and the company of fellow Born Free owners. And, of course, Michigan weather was as varied as it can be that time of year with warmer-than-normal temperatures for the first day followed by colder temperatures and winds on the following day.
Mackinaw City was entertaining with its tours and the musical but, of course, the highlight was the tour of Mackinac Island and lunch at the Grand Hotel.
When we weren't busy with the tours, we had the pleasure of viewing a new Born Free 30' Rear Side Bed brought by Phil and Connie Overby from Born Free of Humboldt, Iowa and a Born Free 24' Rear Bath brought by Jeremy Smit of Holland Motor Homes of Holland, Michigan.
Departure day, Sunday, started with coffee and rolls, a 'hood salute' to Howard and Barb for a "job well done" and an inspirational sendoff "tent" service. Then it was departure time for some and for many, a post-rally experience of "riding the railroad" on the Agawa Canyon Tour Train.
